There have been a lot of birds at my various feeders the past couple days. I decided to sit and try and catch some pictures of them. I'm sure that my neighbors probably thought that I had lost my mind if they saw me just sitting out in the cold! There were so many cardinals in my backyard. I especially like seeing them in the winter with the snow cover because they stand out so well. My front feeders attract more species, but I had to sit too close and nothing was coming close. These pictures were all taken with a zoom lens in order to get what I did. :)

I love Cardinals! We don't see them here but it reminds me of when I was younger and lived in St. Louis. I think my neighbors must think I'm crazy lots of times when I'm out taking pictures.
I enjoyed seeing your bird photos. I have to use my zoom to get bird photos, too. The only ones I've gotten so far were also through the window.
I saw a pretty white bird with red and black on it today, that flew off when we got home from work today. I think it was a woodpecker of some kind that had found the suet we put out a couple weeks ago. I hope to get a photo of it soon.
